How to get your Research Published in Peer Reviewed Journals

This workshop is aimed at people with little or no experience in publishing peer-reviewed papers. It will cover a range of topics including structuring your paper and what to write in each section, as well as what editors are looking for in a manuscript, how to choose a journal, journal instructions, the review process and responding to reviewers’ comments. Information about the roles and responsibilities of editors and reviewers will also be provided. Lin Fritschi and Alison Reid have both published widely in the peer-reviewed literature and are editors of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the Ethnicity and Health, respectively. They will use their experience from both sides of the publishing process to help you get your work into print.
